An Original 1947 (from the first release of this movie in Denmark) Vintage Theatrical Folded Danish Movie Poster (measures 24" x 33 1/4") (Learn More) Hit the Ice, the 1943 Charles Lamont winter sports ice skating skiing comedy ("Their Newest, Gayest Hit!"; "Original Story by True Boardman"; 20th Century-Fox was having great success with skating movies starring Sonja Henie and Universal didn't have a skating star, so they made this movie focused on all winter sports!) starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Ginny Simms, Patric Knowles, Elyse Knox, Johnny Long and His Orchestra, Helen Young, Gene Williams, Edward Gargan, The Four Teens, Joe Sawyer, and "50 - Skating Beauties - 50" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: K. Wenzel Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There is a censor stamp in the background at upper left. There is a 2 1/2" tear in the right of the bottom edge of the poster that has been repaired with clear tape from the back and there is a small amount of paper loss in the bottom blank corners of the poster. There are a few pin holes at the center crossfold and around the edges of the poster. Fortunately, the poster's defects are mostly confined to background and border areas and after linenbacking the poster will surely display quite nicely with very little paint restoration needed!
