An Autographed 3" x 5" Index Card with 8" x 10" REPRO Still (Learn More) Ann Sothern (born Harriette Arlene Lake) was an actress from the 1920s to the 1980s. She had small uncredited showgirl-like parts from 1927 to 1933, and then she started getting much better roles, and she was a leading lady in the 1930s, and stayed a top star through the 1950s. Some of her movies include: A Letter to Three Wives, Footlight Parade, The Best Man, The Whales Of August (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and scores of others, and she is also well remembered from the "Private Secretary" and "The Ann Sothern Show" TV series in the 1950s. She passed away in 2001 at the age of 92. Important Added Info: Note that this index card has been personally autographed (signed) by Ann Sothern. Also included is an 8 1/2" x 10 3/4" REPRO still that the index card could be matted and framed together with! Also note that this lot comes with a "certificate of authenticity" that states the signature is guaranteed authentic. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who purchased the collection of a dedicated collector, who was a major film buff from the 1950s through the 1990s. He would purchase stills on stars he liked, and then he would go to events or collectibles shows (he went to virtually every collectibles show where stars appeared!), and he would get the items autographed, and many of his photos were personalized to him with nice inscriptions, because over time many of the celebrities who regularly attended shows came to be friends with him! Over many years he was able to acquire a large number of signed stills, and his collection was purchased by our consignor. In this set of auctions we are auctioning the last of his autographed items (and we auctioned others in past "all signed" auctions). We feel certain that the autographs on these items are authentic!
