An Original Vintage Movie Printing Plate (advertising; measures 1" x 2 1/2" [3 x 6 cm]) (Learn More) Rock, Rock, Rock!, the 1956 Will Price rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) musical ("The king of rock 'n' roll!"; "The greatest rock 'n' roll music played by biggest rock 'n' roll groups this side of Heaven!") starring Alan Freed (the famous real-life DJ who invented the term "rock 'n' roll"), Frankie Lymon, Chuck Berry, La Vern Baker, Jimmy Cavallo & his House Rockers, The Three Chuckles, Cirino and The Bowties, The Moonglows, Johnny Burnette Trio, The Flamingoes, Fran Manfred, Connie Francis, Alan Freed's 18 piece Rock 'n' Roll Band, Tuesday Weld (billed as "introducing Tuesday Weld"; in her first movie role!), Bo Diddley, and Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers. I know this was the early days of rock 'n' roll, but who thought that "The Three Chuckles" was a great name for a group? NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a printing plate that consists of a 1" x 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" block of wood that has a metal printing plate attached to the top of it. In some cases, the name of the movie was engraved on the side of the wood (see our images of the face and side of each printing plate). This was used for advertising this movie in 1956! This is an original printing plate used by The National Program and Printing Company of Chicago, which printed theater programs and heralds for theaters throughout the United States!
