Note that L.L. is Lucien Levy, the French radio engineer and radio receiver manufacturer who invented the superheterodyne method of amplifying radio signals, used in almost all AM radio receivers. The T.S.F. in the tagline stands for "Telegraphie sans fil" (wireless telegraphy), a method of transmitting text by radio waves and an archaic French term for "radio". Artist: d'apres Georges Favre Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French advertising poster! Also note that this poster reuses the Georges Favre art, and because it was not the first time the art was used and/or it was altered, the poster designer added "d'apres", to signify that. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had slight darkening around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
