Reeves Eason silent adventure melodrama ("The miracle dog of the movies"; "The season's greatest photoplay novelty") starring Peter the Great (the German Shepherd dog), Edward Hearn, Ethel Shannon, Joseph Bennett, and Lee Shumway. Note that Peter the Great appeared in six movies between 1922 and 1926 (the first two were shorts). We don't know why he retired after that. It might have been from getting old, or he might not have been able to adjust to sound movies (perhaps his bark was not as good as his bite).
