No Way Back, the 1963 Russell Trainer romantic infidelity sexploitation novel ("A night of thunder and fury"; "A night of passion and pain"; "The elements of the storm"; "A storm none of them would ever forget"). Note that this book was written by "Russell Trainer", who was a fascinating but forgotten author! He was in law school and then the military during World War II, and after the war, he ran for the State Senate in Michigan, but lost. From there, his life went downhill, and he was arrested and jailed in 1959 for writing bad checks, and he served 18 months. While there, he found his new profession writing "The Warden's Wife", the first of many "adult" paperback books he wrote. His most successful book was called "The Lolita Complex", and Russell Trainer was a pseudonym that he used for his adult novels. We had a book signed by him where he appeared to sign as "Robert Haler", which would have been his real name! He also wrote children's stories under other pseudonyms, and he was married twice and had six children, and had his own publishing company and died in 1992. Also note that this book has great cover art by perhaps the finest illustrator of these sleaze paperbacks (see below), Paul Rader!

Note that this is one of a collection of 33 sexploitation paperback books from the 1950s and 1960s from a new collection we were recently consigned (see below for more), and are auctioning in 33 separate auctions. These are from the repressed 1950s and 1960s, from the days when "respectable" people had few outlets for non-traditional sexual desires, and these "sleaze" paperbacks covered those subjects in depth! They always had lurid covers, and they were often sold "under the counter" (where you had to ask for them). The sexual revolution of the late 1960s made these books pretty irrelevant, but they are a fascinating reminder of repressed sexual attitudes of the 1960s! In 2018, we were consigned a collection of around 300 of these books, and we auctioned them from then until 2021. Now we have been consigned a new collection that we will be auctioning every four weeks, with around 30 in each auction. There is only one of each title, so if you don't purchase a specific book, don't expect to see it again, because there is not another example of it in this collection!
