An Autographed Cut Newspaper Article (measures 8" x 21") (Learn More) Olivia De Havilland was an actress who performed from the 1930s to the 1980s. She was often paired with Errol Flynn. Some of her movies include: The Adventures of Robin Hood, Gone With the Wind (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), The Heiress (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), To Each His Own (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Hold Back The Dawn (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Snake Pit (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and Captain Blood. Her sister was Joan Fontaine, and they had a many decades-long (and never resolved) feud. She passed away in 2020 at the age of 104. Important Added Info: Note that this newspaper article (which was cut from the newspaper) has been personally autographed (signed) by Olivia De Havilland! Also note that the newspaper article was continued on a later newspaper page, and the person who owned this neatly cut out the follow-up page that gives the end of the newspaper story, and both clippings will be sent to the winner of this auction. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer for many years. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both collectors and people who worked on movies, and in some of those collections he purchased many autographed items, and sometimes he met with celebrities and had them autograph items he owned in person. Both we and our consignor feel it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Condition: very good.
