He is totally alone. He is 3,000,000 light years from home."; "Written by Melissa Mathison"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote, Henry Thomas ("as Elliott"), Drew Barrymore (in her second movie role!), and Robert MacNaughton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: John Alvin Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet measures 27" x 40 3/4" [69 x 104 cm]. Also note that this is an advance one-sheet (note the "Coming This Summer To a Theatre Near You" at the bottom of the poster). Condition: good. There is black paint over the "Coming This Summer to a Theatre Near You." text above the credits at bottom center. There are small creases and scuff marks throughout the poster (mostly small vertical creases, from it being tightly rolled at one time). The poster has yellowed very slightly from exposure to sunlight and there are some very light brown stains in the blank borders around the edges, but they are not very noticeable or distracting. Other than the significant issue described above (the paint over the tagline), the poster is in pretty nice condition and it displays pretty well from a reasonable viewing distance. Certainly one could choose to display this poster just as it is, or one could have a professional restore it (but we don't know how difficult it would be to remove the black paint described above, and we don't know if it would need to be painted over with the correct tagline), but in any event, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS POSTER, unless you can accept the significant defect described above or are willing to pay to have the poster restored.
