An Original Vintage Souvenir Program Book (measures 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 18 pages) (Learn More) Hollywood Ice Revue, the 1943 Arthur M. Wirtz ice skating ice show musical starring Sonja Henie. This was started by Miss Henie in the Spring of 1936, and it was a huge hit, and became an annual event, lasting into the 1950s (but Miss Henie left it in 1950, after a dispute with Mr. Wirtz). Note that in this edition of the show, which was the seventh, they added a special new feature which was called "The Hula of Deep Hawaii", in which Sonja Henie did the hula on ice skates, which was described as "the original Hula as danced by the slender-as-bamboo, silken, shivery daughters of deep Hawaii"! Important Added Info: Note that this program has red felt covers with a great embossed gold image of Henie with her name in gold lettering.
