Date Sold 7/30/2024 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 1948 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Harlem on the Prairie, the 1937 Sam Newfield black African American musical singing cowboy western ("The First Musical Western with ALL COLORED CAST"; "Rootin' - Shootin' - Swing-Swing Entertainment"; "Romance Singing Music Dancing") starring Herb Jeffries (billed as "Herbert Jeffries"), Mantan Moreland, F.E. Miller (Flourney E. Miller), Spencer Williams, The Four Tones, and the Four Blackbirds. Note that Flourney Miller was a major figure in black Broadway musical history, performing and writing with his partner Aubrey Lyles. After Lyles passed away in 1933, Miller appeared in a number of all-black movies in the 1930s and 1940s. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned these lobby cards before! Condition: very good. The cards have faint smudges around the edges.
