Mai 1980 (literally translates to "1890 May 1st 1980"), the 1980 East German poster featuring art of a raised fist by Klaus Lemke, celebrating the FDGB and the Social Democratic Party of Germany (which adopted it's name in 1890). The Free German Trade Union Federation (Freier Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund or FDGB) was an East German organization that existed between 1946 and 1990. It was part of the National Front and had representatives in the Volkskammer.
