An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Jerry the Giant, the 1926 Lesley Selander & Mark Sandrich silent circus animal comedy short ("A William Fox Animal Comedy featuring the wonder child of the screen") starring Jerry Madden (in the title role as Jerry and billed as "The wonder child of the screen"), Frank J. Coleman, George Davis, Harry Cornell, Frank Madden, and Pal the Dog. Note that Jerry Madden had a small part in a 1925 movie, and then starred in "Jerry the Giant", a William Fox comedy short. He made a total of five of these shorts between 1926 and 1927, when Madden was between 3 and 4 years old. He also co-starred with Tom Mix in a 1927 movie! We don't know why Madden had this nickname, but we do know that as he became an older boy, he only had minor parts, and he had six roles in the 1930s, before he left movies. However, he lived all the way until 2009, when he passed away at the age of 85. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
