An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Hard Luck, the 1921 Edward F. Cline & Buster Keaton silent slapstick comedy short (one of Keaton's most surreal movies; it is a group of pretty unconnected gags, with a loose subplot about Keaton losing his job and deciding to commit suicide, but then getting other jobs along the way) starring Buster Keaton, Virginia Fox, Joe Roberts, Bull Montana, and Bessie Wong. Note that this film was believed to be lost until 1987, when an almost complete print was found. The print was missing the final scene, but that scene was discovered in a Russian archive and the full film is now available (and the final scene of the movie has a gag about Keaton literally diving through the entire Earth and then coming back leading his "Chinese family"). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this Buster Keaton movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in each corner, with some slight darkening, creases, and a few tears around the edges (repaired with conservation tape from the back), and a pinhole in three blank corners.
