An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style C One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Adventure, the 1945 Victor Fleming romantic love triangle gambling melodrama ("Victor Fleming's Production of MGM's Adventure"; "Based on a novel by Clyde Brion Davis") starring Clark Gable (this was Gable's first movie after three years in World War II, and the tagline was "Gable's back and Garson's got him!"), Greer Garson, Joan Blondell, Thomas Mitchell, Tom Tully, John Qualen, Richard Haydn, Lina Romay, Harry Davenport, Betty Blythe, and Pierre Watkin. Note that this movie was the first one that Clark Gable made after serving in World War II, and that is why the tagline for the movie started with "Gable's back", because he enlisted in the war, as did so many other top stars! The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of several foldlines, with a greater amount of tears and paper loss in the top horizontal fold and in the top half of the vertical foldline. There were pinholes, tears and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
