An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Thirty by Forty Movie Poster (measures 30" x 40") (Learn More) Mosura (released in the U.S. in 1962 as "Mothra"), the 1961 Ishiro Honda (billed as "Inoshiro Honda") Japanese Toho kaiju battling rubbery monsters science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("Mightiest monster in all creation!"; "Ravishing a universe for love!"; "Incredible! Inconceivable!"; "World Wrecked as monster hunts human mates!"; "Fabulous! Fantastic! Two doll-sized beauties worshipped by a winged behemoth!"; "Based on a story by Shinichiro Nakamura, Takehiko Fukunaga and Yoshie Hotta"; "Special Effects by Eiji Tsuburaya") starring Mothra (the giant moth monster, on a mission to help save twin fairies), Frankie Sakai, Hiroshi Koizumi, Kyoko Kagawa, Ken Uehara, Emi & Yumi Ito (as the Twin Fairies) If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had a 1" wide piece of tape across the upper center of the image (running across the face of the monster and across the letters). The tape is long gone but there are tape stains across that area. There are many creases and scuffs scattered around the edges of the poster and creases, smudges, stains, and tears around the edges of the poster. Someone repaired some of the tears with tape from the back. This week we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like creasing, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
