Klaus Doldinger is a German jazz saxophonist and film music composer from the 1950s to the present. Doldinger's recurring jazz project Passport, started in 1971 and still enjoys huge success in Germany. Doldinger contributed film scores to the German U-boat film Das Boot and The NeverEnding Story, and he was the recipient of 1997's Bavarian Film Awards. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 84!
