It rips... It vanishes! A mammoth monstrous man -or- creature rising out of the depths beneath the city!"; "See It -- But Don't Reveal It! Let your friends feel for themselves the Phantom's full impact!"; "Screendom's most amazing creature holds you in the grip of the world's greatest shock-and-suspense story sensation!"; "The New Warner Bros. Sensation"; "3 Dimension and WarnerColor"; "From Edgar Allan Poe's 'Murders in the Rue Morgue'") starring Karl Malden, Claude Dauphin, Patricia Medina, Steve Forrest, Anthony Caruso, Dolores Dorn, and Charles Gemora (as Sultan the Gorilla; and amazingly, he had earlier this role when the movie was first by Universal in 1932, 22 years earlier!). Note that starting in 1929 and continuing into the 1940s, Charles Gemora played gorillas in many movies, likely because he owned a gorilla suit, and could do a somewhat convincing job portraying a gorilla. Just a few years later, Ray 'Crash' Corrigan would also start playing gorillas, and no doubt they competed for roles in every movie requiring a gorilla! The studios created both 3-D posters and 2D posters (the 2-D posters were for theaters that lacked the 3-D equipment). This poster is from the "2-D" release. Note that for the 2-D release. Also note that this window card was folded in half, and because it was folded perfectly in half, it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that can be sent in standard size mailers), it will be sent that way. But if it is purchased with posters that need to be sent in oversized mailers, then we will of course send it that way. Condition: good to very good. The poster has very slightly darkened unevenly, and there are faint smudges in the borders. There is a 4" diagonal crease in the bottom left corner. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition!
