An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/4" x 29 3/4" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) 20th Century-Fox, the circa 1960s stock poster used by theaters when showing 20th Century-Fox re-releases. The poster has a large blank area in the center where the specific title of the film being shown could be overprinted or a snipe applied. Important Added Info: Note that our consignor tells us that this poster was hand-painted for use at the Wintergarden Theatre. Usually, theater owners would just hand-write the details on a stock poster but for these posters, the blank daybills were sent to a sign writer and he actually created individual hand-painted posters for various films. The artist sometimes used stock posters but often used a completely blank daybill, and these poster are likely one of a kind! Condition: fair. The poster has painted writing typical of theater-displayed stock posters, however, it is rippled and it has much paper loss at lower left.
