An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Jaw of Justice, the 1933 Spencer Gordon Bennet Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Mountie Pacific Northwest canine German Shepherd dog crime adventure melodrama ("Latest dog marvel in a sensational melodrama!"; "From a story by Joseph Anthony Roach") starring 'Kazan' the Dog, Jack Perrin (billed as "Richard Terry"), Robert Walker, Ruth Sullivan, Gene Toller, Lafe McKee, and Lightnin' Teddy (billed as "Teddy", another dog star). Note that Kazan the Dog first appeared in this movie, and appeared in two more movies over the next year! If anyone knows more about Kazan the Wonder Dog, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that Jack Perrin started in movies in 1915 and after serving in World War I, he signed with Universal in 1919. He was in many westerns, and over the next decade, he sometimes worked for Universal and sometimes for low budget studios. He successfully made the transition to sound, but his career never really took off, and in 1936, at the age of 40, he pretty much retired, but he appeared in a few more movies (in three of his movies, he was billed as "Richard Terry"). Note that the Robert Walker credited above was NOT the Robert Walker who starred in the 1940s and 1950s, but a different Robert Walker who started making movies in 1913, and he appeared in an amazing 255 movies through 1953, a 40 year span, but most of those were westerns, and a lot of them were very minor roles, often uncredited.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has tears and areas of paper loss around the edges. It has a 9" tear in the lower right of the yellow background, with some very tiny paper loss on the tear. It has a 5" tear in the upper right of the image, extending into the dog's neck. It has a printing defect in the bottom right corner that resulted in two vertical white lines in the image going down to the right border (one long and one short). After a simple linenbacking, the poster will look quite nice!
