Miss Pacific Fleet, the 1935 Ray Enright military beauty contest romantic comedy ("The Gimme Gals have landed and have the Marines well in hand!"; one of eight movies Blondell and Farrell made together; in this one, they are showgirls who get a promoter to run a beauty pageant at an amusement park, and they hope to make a lot of money, and find romance too) starring Joan Blondell, Glenda Farrell, Hugh Herbert, Allen Jenkins, Warren Hull, Eddie Acuff, Marie Wilson, Marie Windsor, and Minna Gombell. Note that Joan Blondell and Glenda Farrell appeared together in "Havana Widows" in 1933, where they played a pair of good-hearted showgirls who get in trouble. They re-teamed for five more movies in 1934 and 1935 (playing different characters, but in the same sorts of situations), all of which were quite popular at the box office!
