An Undated (probably 1950s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 13 3/4" x 19 1/2" [35 x 50 cm]) (Learn More) Mountain Justice, the 1937 Michael Curtiz hillbilly medical doctor romantic melodrama ("Drama thunders from the mountain-tops as love flings all caution to the winds!"; a wacky story of a woman who grows up among hillbillies, and she leaves her family and becomes a nurse, and returns with a kindly doctor to try to help those she grew up with, but her abusive father, who believes in whipping those he doesn't agree with, works to stop them) starring Josephine Hutchinson, Guy Kibbee, Margaret Hamilton, Mona Barrie, and Robert Barrat. Note that movie was apparently written by "big city" people who filled the script with every hillbilly cliche in the book, and it bears little resemblance to any real portrayal of small town life (in the Ozarks or anywhere!). Also note that the poster has been trimmed and now measures 13 3/4" x 19 1/2". Condition: very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards).
