Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. We have only auctioned it once before (11 years ago), and that one was only in "good" condition, and it still auctioned for $885! Note that this item is in eMoviePoster.com's special "all animation" auction! The idea for this auction began when we were consigned a remarkable collection of original 1940s Walt Disney pressbooks, mini lobby cards, and standees (and almost all of those are extremely rare ones that are hardly ever auctioned, and they almost all are in really nice condition). Once we knew we had those items, we contacted all our past consignors, and asked them to consign to this very special auction, and they REALLY came through, consigning a wonderful assortment of cartoon movie paper of all sorts. Buying from this special auction gives you an incredibly rare opportunity to obtain some of the finest cartoon animation movie paper we have ever seen, and all of them will have new owners when these auctions close, because all start at $1 with no reserve. Many of these items will likely not be auctioned again for many years to come! Condition: good. The poster has some pinholes around the edges. It has some stains and smudges around the edges, with smudges scattered in the image. There is faint water staining in the top right of the card, extending into the top right of the image, but it is not very noticeable in the image area. This is the sort of poster that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the water staining and smudges can be removed through chemical means, after which the poster will look fantastic (and it will likely be solidly in "very good" condition)!
