The Broadway Melody, the 1929 Harry Beaumont (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) New York City Broadway theater stage acting musical ("All talking! All singing! All dancing!"; "Dramatic sensation"; "Story by Edmund Goulding"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Charles King, Anita Page, Bessie Love (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), William Demarest, Jed Prouty, and Kenneth Thomson

Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned seven lobby cards from this movie, but we have never before auctioned THIS scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. The card had stains and smudges around the edges and a diagonal crease in the bottom left corner extending into the girl's foot and a diagonal crease in the bottom right extending into the bottom right of the inset image. A very talented restorer performed restoration to the front of the card, including pressing and flattening it, but they did not back it, and they left the back of the card exactly as it was. This card will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall, but bear the above in mind before bidding.
