'The Son of the Sheik'"; "A sequel to 'The Sheik'"; "From the novel by E.M. Hull - Adapted to the screen by Frances Marion"; the son has his way with a dancing girl, and her father captures him and tortures him as payback) starring Rudolph Valentino (in a dual title role as both Sheik Ahmed Ben Hassan and Ahmed, the Sheik's son; in his final movie role!), Vilma Banky (as Yasmin), George Fawcett, Montagu Love, and Karl Dane. Note that this movie was a sequel to Valentino's wildly successful 1920 "The Sheik". Unfortunately, he passed away when filming was completed, and it was not released until after his death. Important Added Info: Note that we previously auctioned a different style glass slide from this movie, and that was 19 years ago, when it sold for $308! Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair. There is deterioration in the lower left and some little bits in the right center. There is a piece of glass broken from the top left corner of the back pane and the top left corner of the front pane is cracked, but neither affects the image. Learn More about condition grades
