Date Sold 12/31/2015 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 9 issues of Silver Screen ("Reflecting the Magic of Hollywood"; "Largest newsstand sale of any screen magazine"), one of the many movie magazines sold to the public. Each issue features a great full color cover of a leading star of the day, plus lots of interior publicity stories about current stars and movies with many color and black and white images throughout. Also, in every issue are many wonderful vintage ads, some in color and some in black and white, and sometimes the ads can be just as much fun as the original stories and pictures. Of course, some of the ads are from movies that were about to open, and in the early days of eBay, people would remove those full-page ads and auction them by themselves, and they would often sell for $10, $20, or more, just for a single movie ad removed from a magazine just like this! Note that the items in this lot are from the 1940s to the 1950s Measurements: each measures approximately 8 1/2" x 11"Condition: good to very good.
