An Original Vintage Theatrical Die-Cut Trade Ad (measures 9 1/4" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Postman Always Rings Twice, the classic 1946 Tay Garnett romantic love triangle murder crime film noir ("Their Love was a Flame that Destroyed!"; "The Book that Blazed to Best-Seller Fame!"; "Based on the novel by James M. Cain"; about a woman trapped in a loveless marriage who gets a drifter to kill her husband, and it seems like they will get away with it, but will they?) starring Lana Turner, John Garfield, Cecil Kellaway, Hume Cronyn, Leon Ames, Audrey Totter, and Alan Reed. Note that this movie was re-made in 1981 by Bob Rafelson, starring Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this great ad (with its great die-cut cover, which opens into a fantastic full-length image of scantily clad Lana Turner) was sent to theater owners to try to get them to book this movie. It was NOT removed from a book or magazine. We have pictured the front and back of the ad folded up and completely unfolded. Condition: good to very good. There is a printing defect (surely caused when it was die-cut) that resulted in a crease in the paper, which is in the bottom of Turner's hair on the cover, but which falls in her hair and the center of her face on the interior (see our images). Otherwise, the trade ad is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
