An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (released in England as "Teenage Frankenstein"), the 1957 Herbert L. Strock monster horror thriller ("Body of a boy! Mind of a monster! Soul of an unearthly thing!"; about a professor who animates a dead teenager who then goes on a killing spree, a clever updating of the Frankenstein story to match the current teen movie craze!) starring Whit Bissell, Phyllis Coates, Robert Burton, Gary Conway (in the title role as the monster), and George Lynn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. This means the poster was backed onto a board backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, and window cards. Condition: very good. prior to paperbacking, the poster was in good to very good condition; it appears that the borders were somewhat tattered, and whoever paperbacked the poster put new border paper over much of the left, right, and top borders, but left the bottom border alone; there were extra horizontal creases in the poster including one 1/2" under the regular center one; paperbacking has greatly minimized these defects. You can still see them from close up, but from any distance away, they are not at all noticeable or distracting. Note that the poster was stored rolled for a long time, and it does not completely flat. Also, the rolling seems to have made some of the former tears in the borders more evident, but they are really not very distracting. Learn More about condition grades
