An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch, the 1934 Norman Taurog family relationship screwball comedy ("From the play by Alice Hegan Rice and Anne Crawford Flexner"; about a down-on-their-luck family, where the father has deserted them, and everything is going wrong, and at the end, the absent father appears with enough money to save the day) starring Pauline Lord (in the title role as Mrs. Wiggs), W.C. Fields, Zasu Pitts, Evelyn Venable, Kent Taylor, Charles Middleton, and Virginia Weidler. Note that W.C. Fields plays a neighbor who courts a friend of Mrs. Wiggs, but because he was a big star, he got high billing in this movie that received favorable reviews! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the playdates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
