Date Sold 5/10/2012 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original 1967 Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Pulgarcito (released in the U.S. as part of the Childhood Productions series in 1967 as "Tom Thumb"), the 1957 Rene Cardona Mexican musical family fantasy fairy-tale adventure ("Imagination's Tiny-est Hero...in a GIANT of an Adventure!"; "Live new thrills with Tom Thumb in a delightful new world of fantasy!"; "Never before shown anywhere"; "All New! All Live! All Magic!"; "Presented in glowing, glorious... Storybook Color") starring Maria Elena Marques, Jose Elias Moreno, Cesareo Quezadas (in the title role as Pulgarcito/Tom Thumb), Manuel Donde, and Nora Veryan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards have a color printed background with an actual black & white photo which has neatly been "tipped in" (glued to the upper right of the card). Also note that these lobby cards were printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back). Condition: good to very good. Note that these lobby cards have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
