Hogan silent San Francisco California romantic construction worker crime melodrama ("Story by A. Channing Edington"; about a tough man called "The Brute" who is adopted by his boyhood friend's family, and they get him a job in charge of a dam project, and he stops a gang from blowing up the dam and kidnapping his friend's sister) starring William Russell, Mary Thurman, Correan Kirkham, George Fisher, and Edward B. Tilton. Note that leading lady Mary Thurman had been a school teacher who became a Mack Sennett Bathing Beauty whose career started to take off, but sadly, she caught pneumonia in 1925, at age 30, and passed away.
