An Unfolded Danish Travel Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 39 1/2" [62 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Wonderful Copenhagen, the 1961 Danish travel poster used to promote tourism in Copenhagen, Denmark and featuring art of a crowd of people smiling as ducks cross the road by Viggo Vagnby. Note that there are different versions of this poster (we have seen 1958 and 1961 so far). The main difference between the versions seems to be the clothing and some poses among the crowd in the background!

Artist: Viggo Vagnby

Condition: very good. There is a 1/2" tear in the background at upper left and right and at lower left in the "O" in "COPENHAGEN" (each repaired with tape from the back) and there are a few 1/2" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster. There are some smudges on the back of the poster but they do not appear to have an effect on the front. Overall, the poster is in pretty nice condition and it displays well, but if one had it linenbacked it would look fantastic!
