He was a top star in lots of 1920s movies including the Leather Pushers boxing series. In 1929, he made his first talkie, and moviegoers discovered he had an English accent! This led to an important career as a supporting actor, including Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, and he kept acting until the 1960s. He passed away in 1967 at the age of 75.
