Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (as Mr. Spock), DeForest Kelley (as Dr. "Bones" McCoy), James Doohan (as Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott), George Takei (as Lieutenant Commander Hikaru Sulu), Walter Koenig (as Chekov), Nichelle Nichols (as Lieutenant Commander Uhura), Majel Barrett, Persis Khambatta (billed as "presenting Persis Khambatta"), Stephen Collins ("as Lt. Willard Decker"; "as Decker"), and Grace Lee Whitney. Note that the Star Trek TV show went off the air in 1969, with a cult following, but without a lot of general success. But there was enough interest built up over the following years that this movie was made in 1979. Three years later, Nicholas Meyer wrote and directed a sequel, "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", which was a giant critical and commercial success, and led to all the many sequels and spin-offs in the years since! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of one of the stills, and then folded over to the front. Normally, this was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby. However, this snipe was glued on so that some of the written portion is only readable when the snipe is folded over the bottom of the still, which slightly defeats this purpose (although one can see the top of the still and the snipe at the same time, which could not be done if the snipe was glued on the back). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 5 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 5 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made no effort to find the best four stills in the lot, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Condition: very good. The top still in our image has tape residue in the bottom border.
