An Original 1957 Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) As Long As They're Happy, the 1955 (released in the U.S. in 1957) J. Lee Thompson English romantic family relationship musical comedy ("She's De-lovely! Diana Dors"; "She's Delightful! 'Hey Jeannie' Carson"; "She's Rockin'! 'Hey Jeannie' Carson"; "When Dad Meets Diana Dors --- zowie!"; "A comedy with music"; "Based on the Play by Vernon Sylvaine") starring Jack Buchanan, Janette Scott, Jean Carson, Brenda De Banzie, Susan Stephen, Jerry Wayne, and Diana Dors (billed as "Guest Star Diana Dors"). Note that Diana Dors had a pretty small part in this 1955 English comedy, but after she gained notoriety as the "English Marilyn Monroe", the movie was given a release in the U.S. in 1957, and she was billed and pictured as though she was the star of the movie! Also note that Janette Scott is best remembered for her starring role in "Day of the Triffids" in 1963, which was immortalized in the lyrics of the song from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" that says "And I really got hot When I saw Janette Scott fight a triffid that spits poison and kills." She divorced her first husband and married Mel Torme in 1966, which pretty much ended her career, as she quickly had two children. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
