An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French Movie Poster (measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

Le Marchand de Poupees (literally translates to "The Doll Merchant"), the 1913 French silent fantasy family relationship melodrama (about a doll merchant who is mourning the death of his daughter, and creates a life-size doll in her image, in the process neglecting his son. When the boy brings his girl-friend to see the father's work, the doll is accidentally broken, and the little girl takes its place). If anyone knows more about this movie (which sounds quite interesting, based on the synopsis!), please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster, which we have never auctioned before! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! Also note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie!

Condition: fair to good.
