Wellman courtroom lawyer legal witness intimidation murder melodrama ("The perfect picture with the perfect cast..."; "The greatest picture of the year!"; about a gangster who commits a murder in front of a "typical" family, and afterwards, none of the family members want to testify, except for the elderly grandfather who lives with them, who insists on doing his civic duty, no matter what the price) starring Walter Huston, Charles 'Chic' Sale, Dickie Moore (billed as "Dickey Moore"; the child star in an early role!), Grant Mitchell, Frances Starr, Ralph Ice, Sally Blane, and Robert Elliott. Note that Charles 'Chic' Slae was as much the star of this movie as Walter Huston, who played the District Attorney. Sale played the fearless grandfather, and he played variations on this role in many movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
