An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded International Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) The Glass Bottom Boat (released in some other English-speaking countries as "The Spy in Lace Panties"!), the 1966 Frank Tashlin romantic spy comedy spoof ("The Spy Who Came Out Of The Water"; "She's the drip-dry spy licensed for laughs with the craziest cast in the funniest undercover plot of the year!"; "The Oh Oh-Sex Girl! She swims, sizzles, shoots, sings and oh how she spies!"; "Underwater, Undercover, Under any circumstances you must see the new Day as the Oh Oh-Sex Girl!"; "is this the girl next door? She swims, sizzles, shoots, sings, spies, and makes Mata Hari look like a girl scout!"; "Underwater, Undercover, Under any circumstances you must see the new Day!") starring Doris Day, Rod Taylor, Arthur Godfrey, John McGiver, Paul Lynde, Edward Andrews, Eric Fleming, Dom DeLuise, and Dick Martin ("as Zack") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this international style six-sheet, and the last one was 11 years ago! Also note that for its non-U.S. release, MGM re-titled this pretty tame Doris Day spy comedy as "The Spy in Lace Panties", and added a tagline calling Day "THE OH OH-SEX GIRL!". Given Doris Day's super-wholesome image in the U.S., one can only imagine how 1966 U.S. audiences would have reacted to this ad campaign! Note that this is an "international" style six-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and/or NSS information. Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good to very good. There is a foreign stamp in two of the corners. There are many tiny staple holes around the edges. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. Learn More about condition grades
