Breaking Away, the classic 1979 Peter Yates (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) local teens versus stuck-up college kids bicycling melodrama ("The movie that tells you exactly what you can do with your high school diploma!"; "Somewhere between growing up and settling down..."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; written by Steve Tesich) starring Dennis Christopher, Dennis Quaid (in his fifth movie role!), Daniel Stern, Jackie Earle Haley, Barbara Barrie (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Paul Dooley, and Robyn Douglass (billed as "introducing Robyn Douglass")

Important Added Info: Note that this script is from June 9, 1978 and the screenplay was written by Steve Tesich. Also note that the script has the working title "Bambino", but the movie ultimately was called "Breaking Away". Also note that there are blue revision pages from 6/16/78.
