An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) This Way Please, the 1937 Robert Florey movie-making stage acting romantic musical ("Based on a story by Maxwell Shane and Bill Thomas"; there is a plot about a romance between Grable and Rogers, but it is merely an excuse to showcase many excellent stage performers!) starring Charles 'Buddy' Rogers, Betty Grable, Ned Sparks, Jim Jordan, Marian Jordan (billed as "Fibber McGee and Molly"), Porter Hall, Lee Bowman, Mary Livingstone (real-life wife of Jack Benny, who made a few movies, and appeared on his long-running radio and TV series; in her one and only appearance without her husband), and Rufe Davis (known as "The Human Sound Effects Machine", performing his specialty on-screen!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: fair to good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had its blank top trimmed off, extending into the very top of the letters of "WAY". There were pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the card, and stains and smudges in the white background areas, but the images of the stars had few defects. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was not very well backed, and the restorer painted over all of the white background areas (no doubt to "even them out"), and some of the white paint is flaking off from the bottom corners. You can clearly see signs of the white paint restoration, even from a distance. Learn More about condition grades
