An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Between Men, the 1915 William S. Hart silent romantic love triangle adventure melodrama (about an evil man in love with a young rich woman, and he tries to bankrupt her father so that she will be willing to marry him, and the father sends for his trusted old friend, played by William S. Hart, to save his fortune and his daughter's virtue!) starring William S. Hart, Enid Markey (best remembered as the screen's first Jane in "Tarzan"), House Peters, J. Barney Sherry, and A. Burt Wesner. Note that this movie is listed as being from 1915 in online databases, but it apparently had its first showing in January 1916, which made sense, because the first lobby cards appeared at the end of 1915, and we have seen a first release lobby card from this movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in the early days of movies, studios would sell the rights to distribute movies in individual states to local distributors. Each distributor would sometimes print a different poster, listing their name. If the original studio's name is on the poster as well, then it tells you that the poster is from the first release of the movie. If the original studio's name is NOT on the poster, then you can know that the poster is from a re-release. Since Triangle Studios' logo is on this poster, it means the poster is from the first release (and that "Film Distributors League" had the rights to distribute it in some region of the United States. Condition: good to very good. The poster is slightly brittle and there is some tattering and separation at the crossfolds and some of the ends of the foldlines (repaired with tape from the back at the top crossfold). There are minor smudges and creases along the foldlines and around the edges of the poster. There is an ink pen mark in the upper right corner of the poster. Overall, other than the above-mentioned defects, the poster is in pretty remarkable condition considering it is almost 100 years old and after linenbacking it will look fantastic with very little paint restoration needed!
