An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 28 3/4" x 43 1/4" [73 x 110 cm]) (Learn More) La Dolce Vita (sometimes referred to as "Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita"; literally translates to "The Sweet Life"), the classic 1960 (released in the U.S. in 1961) Federico Fellini (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) French/Italian romantic melodrama ("Uncut uncensored now for all to see... the nights, the drunken revels, the sin and the sinners, the perverted decadence of the jet set rich who live what they call 'the sweet life'"; "The most talked about - the most shocked about film of our years"; about a successful Italian movie critic who is dissatisfied with the emptiness of his life, even though he is surrounded by rich and famous people and has a beautiful girlfriend, and he yearns to understand why) starring Marcello Mastroianni, Anita Ekberg, Anouk Aimee, Yvonne Furneaux, Magali Noel, Lex Barker, Jacques Sernas, Alain Cuny, Annibale Ninchi, Walter Santesso, Nadia Gray, and Franca Pasut. Important Added Info: Note that there are two styles of Argentinean poster that were created for the first release of this movie in Argentina. One style has a photo montage of all the lead actors. The other style has full-color artwork of sexy Anita Ekberg. That second poster was apparently released in conjunction with a promotion from Aerolineas Argentinas, for their logo is printed within the poster at bottom right. There is also mention of the soundtrack in the bottom left of that poster, which is not on the other poster. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny creases, scuffs, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, with many pinholes, tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
