Phantom of the Opera, the 1943 Arthur Lubin Universal musical horror thriller ("The Screen's Classic of Terror!"; based on the classic novel by Gaston Leroux, and a remake of the silent classic featuring Lon Chaney Sr.) starring Nelson Eddy, Susanna Foster (as Christine), Claude Rains (in the title role as Erique Claudin, the Phantom of the Opera), Edgar Barrier (as Raoul), Leo Carrillo, Jane Farrar, J. Edward Bromberg, Fritz Feld, Hume Cronyn, and "a cast of thousands"!

Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain but we think there was a 1945 or soon after release of this movie in Belgium, however, if so we haven't seen or auctioned an earlier poster for this movie, but since we know this poster dates from the 1950s we are calling it a 1950s re-release. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. There is writing in portions of the large upper blank border of the poster and there are pinholes around the edges. There are some tears of varying lengths and paper loss at left (repaired with clear tape from the back). Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
