An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Marooned, the 1969 John Sturges science fiction (sci-fi) astronauts-stranded-in-outer-space thriller ("Three marooned astronauts. Only 55 minutes left to rescue them. While the whole world watches and waits..."; "Based on the novel by Martin Caidin"; "The Saga Of Ironman One!") starring Gregory Peck, Richard Crenna, David Janssen ("as Ted Dougherty"), James Franciscus, Gene Hackman, Lee Grant, Nancy Kovack, and Mariette Hartley. Note that this movie started production in 1965, and at that point, Frank Capra was the director, but he couldn't get the budget to what Columbia wanted it to be ($3 million), and the movie was abandoned. Four years later, it was filed by John Sturges with a budget of $8 million! Frank Capra never made another movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. There is light rippling and slight discoloration scattered in portions of the poster due to exposure to moisture.
