An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Golden Anniversary of the Motion Picture Industry 1894-1944 ("The first public exhibition of motion pictures was made in this store on Broadway, near 28th Street, New York City, April 14, 1894"). The poster shows an image of several Edison Kinetoscopes, with a bust of Thomas Edison in front of them. We imagine this was a short subject that was shown in movie theaters, but we could find no information about it. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster was linenbacked and during the backing process, its defects were repaired and it now looks nice. From any reasonable viewing distance, you can't see what restoration was done. It may have had only very minor defects, or it may have had more significant defects that were well restored. It is possible that you can see SOME slight traces of the restoration from a distance, but if so, we try clearly note it below.
