4 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Adrienne Ames was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. Some of her movies include: The Old Fashioned Way, You're Telling Me!, A Bedtime Story, and Girls About Town. She had a turbulent off-screen life, with three husbands (including actor Bruce Cabot) and legal troubles with the IRS for questionable deductions. After her movie career, which lasted a dozen years, she became a radio commentator. She passed away in 1947 at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer.
Important Added Info: Note that these stills measure from 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" to 8" x 10" (one has been trimmed - see below). Also note that the still pictured at lower right in our image is printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock, has a paper snipe on the back giving information about the scene on the front, and has an "Approved" stamp on the back dating it to 1934. Note that the still with her full-length is very unusual, because someone stamped it on the back with a credit for Gene Robert Richee, and then stamped it directly under that with a credit for Otto Dyar! We can only imagine that they made a mistake and corrected it.

Condition: very good.
