An Original Vintage Military Calendar (measures 12" x 18" [30 x 46 cm]) (Learn More)

Coors is a beer brand that was founded in 1873 by German immigrants Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler. In 1880, Coors bought out his partner and became sole owner. For much of its first century of existence, Coors beer was marketed solely in the American West. This gave it mystique and made it a novelty, particularly on the East Coast, and visitors returning from the western states often brought back a case. This iconic status was reflected in the 1977 film Smokey and the Bandit, which centered around an illegal shipment of Coors from Texas to Georgia. The company finally established nationwide distribution in the United States in the mid-1980s. Coors Light was introduced in 1978 when health-conscious baby-boomers were reaching the legal drinking age.
Artist: George Skypeck
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "military" calendar that contains full color art for every month. Each is a painting by George Skypeck, who was a highly decorated Vietnam War veteran who turned to painting after his military duty! The last page of the calendar is a biography of Mr. Skypeck with a picture of him.
