An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Yellow Submarine, the 1968 George Dunning English/U.S. rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) music psychedelic animated surrealism fantasy cartoon musical ("Nothing is real!"; "It's all in the mind y'know! - Paul McCartney"; "It's all in the mind y'know! - George Harrison"; "Eleven Beatle Songs"; "A dozen Beatle songs"; "The forces of Good!"; "The forces of Evil!"; "Based upon a song by John Lennon and Paul McCartney"; "From an original story by Lee Minoff") "starring Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", featuring the music of The Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) and the voices of The Beatles, Paul Angelis, John Clive, and Dick Emery NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was intended to be first released, it was supposed to have twelve songs by The Beatles, and posters were printed up that said "A DOZEN BEATLE SONGS" in the green apple at bottom center and had cartoon artwork of The Beatles in wacky outfits playing instruments at lower left. But when the movie was actually released, one of the songs was cut, and the cartoon art at bottom left was removed, and the green apple was moved to that area, and it now read "ELEVEN BEATLE SONGS"! The poster offered here is the first version, with the "A DOZEN BEATLE SONGS" tagline! Condition: good to very good. There is approximately 4" of separation in the top crossfold and there is a lesser amount of separation at the middle and bottom crossfolds and in the right end of the bottom horizontal fold. There are pin holes in the corners of the poster with some tears from rough removal (more so in the top corners). There are light brown stains in the blank borders around the edges of the poster (mostly at top). There is an area of ink pen writing on the back of the poster at left, but it does not appear to have any effect on the front (the poster was at one time a gift from someone that "worked for the producer" to a poster collector and the note is really kind of interesting!). The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and if one had it framed the areas of foldline separation and border defects would not be very noticeable, but if one chose to have it restored it would look wonderful!
