An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 14" [22 x 36 cm], 100 pages) (Learn More)

Blues in the Night, the 1941 Anatole Litvak romantic musical crime melodrama ("She's as torrid as a torch song! It's as haunting as the blues. It's jumpin' with jive and joy!"; "They make music by day! They live it.. By night!"; "From a play by Edwin Gilbert"; a convoluted story of a trumpet player and his lead singer in a blues band who fall in love, but have all kinds of trials and tribulations) starring Priscilla Lane, Betty Field, Richard Whorf, Lloyd Nolan, Jack Carson, Wallace Ford, and Elia Kazan (the famous director, in an acting role early in his career!)
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this script is the superimposed version (it was done in Brazil, where they speak Portuguese, and someone added a Portuguese translation of every line to the script; this was surely done when the movie was dubbed into Portuguese; the voice actors would simply read the lines and their voices would be added to the dubbed version). Also note that the writers are not credited on this but that the movie credits Robert Rossen.

Condition: very good. Someone put a piece of tape at the top of the cover and it has yellowed. The script was stored (probably ever since it was made) in a legal folder with the title of the movie written on the tab.
