the international theatrical release of Alistair MacLean's Death Train (also released as "Detonator"), the 1993 David Jackson U.S./English/Croatian made-for-TV action thriller (based on a story by Alistair MacLean) starring Pierce Brosnan, Patrick Stewart, Alexandra Paul, Ted Levine, and Christoper Lee. Note that this is a very odd movie! It has several wonderful actors connected with it, and yet it seems that it was barely released anywhere. Adding to the mystery is that the title started out as "Alistair MacLean's Death Train" but was released as "Detonator", with no mention of Alistair MacLean, so we suspect that he might have forced them to remove his name (which would further indicate that it was not a very good movie, in spite of the cast, and that might explain why it was shown so little and we have never heard of it). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
