An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Docks of San Francisco, the 1932 George B. Seitz (billed as "Geo. B Switz") California waterfront crime thriller starring Mary Nolan, Jason Robards Sr., Marjorie Beebe, John Davidson, and Max Davidson. Note that star Mary Nolan was a former Ziegfeld girl who was then known as "Bubbles Wilson", but she had a very troubled life, filled with scandal, and she retired from movies in 1932, and was later a drug addict, and died in 1948 at the age of 43, completely forgotten. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. The poster has many tears of varying lengths along the foldlines and edges (especially along portions of the upper horizontal fold and blank borders and most are repaired with high-quality restoration tape from the back. There is rippling and slight discoloration mainly along portions of the lower edge due to exposure to moisture. The poster is otherwise mostly "all there" and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
